PUGILANCE (staff-fighting martial art game) Demos - See this new combat sport/martial-art played by the creators themselves! Using a cross between a pugil stick and a lance (which is where it gets its name...go figure...opponents (wearing special padding to prevent injury) score points in a karate-type match style based on body hits. Costume Contest
The 30 Seconds to Fame Costume Contest!
Itzacon proudly presents the 30 seconds to Fame Costume Contest! This will be run much like the TV show, ì30 Seconds to Fame.
So, how does it work? We will have two (2) M.C.ís who will introduce each act, after the act is introduced; the contestant has 30 seconds to show their stuff. If they don't want the full 30 seconds, that's fine and dandy too, but the costumer has at most 30 seconds.
Official Rules:
1) Show a degree of modesty, please. No costume is no costume.
2) No music will be accepted. If you want to sing, you will have to do it a capella. (Meaning your voice will be your only instrument.)
3) 30 seconds is the total amount of time allotted for your act. No ifs and or buts about it. When the MC thanks you, you will be escorted off the stage.
4) No vulgarities, please. I donít want the judges coming up to me afterwards telling me that they felt as if they were molested during the show. *Shudder* Keep this a "PG" Show.
5) Sign up will entail finding the chick with the laptop I will probably be at the info booth. Only information I will need is your name, where you are from, and what the title of your act is.
6) Only human entries allowed.
7) Did I mention you only have 30 seconds?
8) No acrobatics. We are sure that if you are attempting it, that you are indeed good. However, we cannot account for random con attendee accidentally getting in your way.
9) There will be 3 judges, and the awards are as follows: 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place and three judges favorites awards.
Dealers Room
BOOTH cost is $80 (not $50) for a 10 x 10 booth space. Physical tables are NOT included - Bring your own (free) or they are available from the venue for a $10 rental fee. 2 chairs come free with each booth, additional chairs are $5 each for the weekend. Electricity is available for a $10 charge. NO Table Covers are provided, Bring your own. 2 con passes come with each booth space, additional badges are available for $10. Email us for a sign up form at info@a-kon.com. Mall traffic insures a pretty good turnout for this event (our one-day anime event in August brought in more people than the normal 2-day Itzacon!)

Saturday night. 10:30. Hosted by RFO!
Autograph Sessions
Get that autograph of your favorite star. Scheduling will be available at the con.
Komik Market
Price is $25, includes table and 1 chair. Additional chairs available for $5, or bring your own. They do still need to get their con membership, so that wording is okay.
